The updated fireblade

So after the suggestion on the last post I gave it a shot and here are the results.

Now 2 questions on the feedback I am looking for. 1: Is it better or worse? 2. If better should I go back and ink all the suits, drones etc?

  1. Better I think. Gives it a little more depth and blends the colours together :). I would def go back and do the rest :)

    1. Poss though I would water down the wash a little to make it slightly less dark. Would go 25% water the rest wash (gw's lhamaean medium is great for thinning washes as it helps the flow)

    2. That's straight Vallejo sepia ink. No water

  2. When you use inks/washes, a nice final stage (after the wash) is to brush back over the top sections with your "pre washed" color. It'll add a nice bit of depth and takes very little time. In this way you both darken and shade the model, and then highlight and brighten in in two short steps.
